How rates are calculated
- Based on the destination country of the recipient’s phone number
- Priced in USD per message
- Meta list rate + 20% markup
- Billed via Shopify on delivery (not send attempt)
Rate updates
Rates follow WhatsApp/Meta pricing changes. The Message rates page shows the last updated date.
FAQ
When do I see rates? After installing Level, open Billing → Message rates. Rates are visible once you’re on Starter or Pro.
Do failed messages cost anything? No — only delivered messages are billed.
What about BYO? BYO merchants are billed directly by Meta, not through Level. See BYO billing.
