Template Libraries

Level provides two template libraries depending on your WhatsApp number setup.

Shared template library

Used by all merchants on Level’s shared WhatsApp number. Templates are centrally managed by Level and include defaults for every message type.

Marketing templates include “Reply STOP to unsubscribe” in the body.

Merchants on the shared number can view these templates in Message flows but cannot edit them.

Team template library (BYO)

Pro+ merchants with a connected WhatsApp number manage their own template library:

  • Create, edit, and submit templates via the template manager
  • Sync from Meta/WhatsApp Manager
  • Full control over body text, variables, and categories

Switching libraries

When you connect your own number (BYO), Level switches from the shared library to your team library. Shared templates are no longer used — you must assign your own approved templates to each flow.
